ACTIVE STORAGE
Basic cost: Please contact us.
Concurrent to Active storage, we will put your cultivar into callus culture. This is a cheaper means to store your genetics long-term but the “reboot” time is significantly longer.
$50 per test; Minimum order is 10 tests.
Mother Stock Screening (HPLVd and Pan Fusarium)
Fungal Screen (Pan Fusarium and Pan Pythium)
$700 (HPLVd plus Fusarium plus Pythium)
Basic cost: $3,000
These methods involve harvesting shoot tips and stem segments containing at least one node from an explant. The plant material goes through a robust sterilization process but does not necessarily eliminate endophytes, viruses or viroids. This is a fast method to return plantlets to the grower (as fast as 11 weeks for some cultivars) but this does not allow us to guarantee the same quality of clean product.
Basic cost: Please contact us.
We will maintain an agreed upon number of plantlets that will only have shoots for any cultivar. The number of plantlets maintained will depend on scale and time needed to “reboot” the cultivar.

MERISTEM CULTURE

$75 per plant; Minimum order is 10 tests.
Basic cost: $5,000
In this method, we harvest and excise the apical meristem from the growing points found at the tips of shoots. Since this material is not connected to the plant’s vascular system, we are able to generate completely clean, disease free and genetically identical plantlets. This process can take from 9–12 months to successfully initiate, depending on the cultivar.
Basic Cost is $120 per month per cultivar.
We want to preserve and protect your prized cultivars at our facility indefinitely. We will work with our clients to produce mothers or plantlets on schedule for your cultivar to reach your grow room. Successful initiation into tissue culture takes between 5 and 10 months, after which cultivars can be preserved and maintained long term.
